DREW MCGINTY SIGNS “NO FOSSIL FUEL MONEY PLEDGE” FOR 2018 CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGN

Drew McGinty, a candidate seeking the Democratic nomination in Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district, today signed the “No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge.”

Taking this pledge means that McGinty’s campaign will adopt a policy to not knowingly accept any contributions over $200 from the PACs, executives, or front groups of fossil fuel companies — companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution, or sale of oil, gas, or coal.

“While Patrick Meehan has continually sided with special interests over his constituents, I vow to be a better candidate and a better Congressman come 2018,” said Drew McGinty. “The future of our planet is at stake and the only way forward is through green energy. I encourage Rep. Meehan to take the pledge as well, but at the end of the day I anticipate that he’ll continue to represent his corporate donors in Washington, instead of the hardworking Pennsylvanians in this district.”
