St. David’s Episcopal Church (Wayne)

At today’s stop in my journey to better know the district’s faith communities, I attended Mass at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne.  The traditional service was held in their old church which has probably not changed much since its cornerstone was laid in 1715.  I was struck by the beauty of the small sanctuary, illuminated only by natural light and candlelight and with Revolutionary War soldiers lying at rest in the graveyard just outside.

St. David’s does so much good work for the hungry, homeless and needy throughout the greater Philadelphia area – it was a great honor to have joined them in worship today.

This isn’t something that’s limited to one side of the aisle though, as both Democrats and Republicans at the federal and state levels are more than willing to sell their votes to the highest bidder."   Read my entire op ed at http://www.delcotimes.com/article/DC/20171205/NEWS/171209798.
